Healthy Ergonomics is an ergonomic consulting company in Alaska who uses only licensed physical therapists to conduct office or industrial assessments. Physical therapists are experts in the musculoskeletal system and thus you benefit from the expertise.
Laurie Macchello, PT, CBES
Laurie is the owner of Healthy Ergonomics and has over 20 years experience as a physical therapist. Laurie received her undergraduate education at San Francisco State University and completed her graduate studies at University of California at San Francisco in 1989. She serves as Vice President of WorkSaver's Alaskan Operations and is also the Director of Fitness for Duty and Ergonomics for Beacon Occupational Health Services, performing pre-hire and return to work functional testing of employees. Laurie is also an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage teaching Ergonomics in the Occupational Safety and Health Department.
Sarah Haywood, PT
Sarah graduated with Bachelor’s of Science degree from Kansas State University in 1989 and then received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Kansas University in 1992. She has been practicing physical therapy in AK since 1996. Her specializations include ergonomics, fitness for duty testing, return to work testing, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) and complete decongestive therapy (CDT).
Melonie Rieck, PT
Melonie has been practicing physical therapy since graduating University of Montana in 1991. She hails originally from Minnesota but has spent her adult years living in the mountains of the western states and Alaska. She has been a physical therapist for 23 years with specialties in orthopedics, ergonomics and home health care.
